Champlin Park Youth Hockey Association

The First Annual Mite/Girls 8U Bowling Party was held Saturday, February 2, 2008, at Sundance Golf and Bowl in Maple Grove. Forty hockey players participated in the event. Members of each team were matched together for bowling. The bowling alley "bumpers" were used to ensure successful bowling by hockey players of all ages. Parents helped guide the younger bowlers in the sport. Participants also enjoyed pizza and pop as part of the event. Between frames, air hockey was a popular pastime. Everyone enjoyed the event. The hockey association looks forward to hosting this event again next year as a way for hockey players and parents to get acquainted away from the hockey rinks. Thanks to the organizers of the event and to the parents who helped out that day.
