1. Documents, documents, documents...
*** All players are required to have the "Waiver of Liability" and "Consent to Treat and Medical History" forms turned in prior to skating (try-outs, S.P.E.E.D. or season).    You can drop off your documents in the Registration mail slot in the association's cabinet (located in the arena next to the bleachers).

*** If you are interested in coaching or assistant coaching, you must fill out a "Coaches Background Screening" form.  This form can be found on our website here. You can drop off the completed document in the Secretary's secured mail slot in the association's cabinet (located in the arena next to the bleachers).

*** If your skater is new to CPYHA, we must have a copy of a certified birth certificate on file.  You can drop off the document in the Secretary's secured mail slot in the association's cabinet (located in the arena next to the bleachers).

2. Traveling
*** Traveling Hockey Tryouts - the dates for tryouts are September 29th through October 8th and will be held at the Champlin Ice Forum. Skate times and team announcements will be updated daily on the Traveling section of our website (http://www.cpyha.com/page/show/2397-traveling).

*** Tryout Volunteers Needed - There are several shifts available during tryouts as volunteer opportunities. If you are able to fill one of the times listed below, please contact Chuck Rickart at CRickart@wsbeng.com. If you are unsure of a timeframe that you signed up for, please reference the volunteer document (http://www.cpyha.com/attachments/document/0003/2442/traveling_volunteersched.xls) located in the traveling section of our website (http://www.cpyha.com/page/show/2397-traveling).

3. House
*** S.P.E.E.D. Clinic - Mites will be placed in the category of A, B, C, D, or Girls 8U according to their skill level as determined after our S.P.E.E.D. Clinic; this will take place weekends starting October 12th thru November 23rd.   S.P.E.E.D. stands for SKILLS, PLACEMENT, EXCELLENCE, EDUCATION, AND DEVELOPMENT.  Skating dates and times will be announced on the website in the House section (http://www.cpyha.com/page/show/2398-house) and the association calendar.

4. Team Managers Needed
We are looking for team manager volunteers for the upcoming season.  Team Managers are the center of each team providing regular communication between the coaches and parents as well as between the association and parents.  This is great opportunity to get to know your team, the parents and to fulfill volunteer hours.  If you have an interest in becoming a manager for upcoming season, please contact the CPYHA Secretary, Lisa Lewis, at lkaylewis@aol.com.  THANK YOU FOR VOLUNTEERING YOUR TIME!

5. Concessions
The Concessions Director is also in need of volunteers to work the concession stand during the Traveling Try-out sessions.  Please contact Michele Garcia at cpyha.concessions@msn.com if you can help.  The times needed will be updated daily on our website in the Concessions section.  Currently, the dates and times needed are:

Monday, Sept 29 - 7:30pm - 10:00pm  (tonight)
Tuesday, Sept 30 - 5:00pm - 7:30pm
Thursday, Oct 2 - 7:30pm - 10:00pm
Friday, Oct 3 - 5:00pm - 7:30pm and 7:30pm - 10:00pm
Saturday, Oct 4 - 5:00pm - 7:30pm and 7:30pm - 10:00pm
Sunday, Oct 5 - 7:30pm - 10:00pm
Monday, Oct 6 - 7:30pm - 10:00pm
Wednesday, Oct 8 - 7:30pm - 10:00pm

6. Jr Gold
Jr Gold Registration - For those players not trying out for High School, you can still register on-line.  For those players trying out for High School, Jr. Gold registration will take place after High School tryouts on November 21st. For more information, please visit our website. For those registering on November 21st you must exercise the buyout option of $75 for the candy bar fundraiser.

7. Gambling
CPYHA operates pull tabs at the 5-8 Club daily, Bar Bingo is on Thursday nights starting at 7:00 pm.
